Northwest Film Fund Awards

We are now accepting applications for the 2013 Northwest Film Fund, our grant program supporting new documentary film projects in the Northwest.

In 2012 we awarded $20,000 in cash grants through this program, plus a package of artist services valued at $40,000 in-kind. 2012 winners include the film Sweetheart Deal by Seattle directors Elisa Haradon and Gabriel Miller, and the film project Open Road, by Portland director Alain LeTourneau.

Did you know that the Film Forum offers classes for filmmakers to learn updated digital programs and tools of the trade? Our instructors are working local artists who are both teachers and creators.

We have regular workshops scheduled to learn essential programs like Final Cut Pro 7 & X, Apple Compressor, Apple Color and After Effects.

With recent upgrades, our film transfer suite now allows high-definition film to video conversions! We've adapted our Panasonix HVX200 camera (including custom-built software) so your 8 and 16mm film can have a new life on high quality digital video.
