During this event for International Women's Day, special guest and local filmmaker Lynn Shelton will present a rare screening of her 16mm film The Clouds that touch us out of clear skies, a haunting, imagistic documentary that tells a personal miscarriage story. The film will be followed by conversation and live performances. Special ticket pricing: $8 general admission.

New Beginning’s mission is to "provide shelter, advocacy and support for battered women and their children, and to change attitudes and social institutions that foster and perpetuate violence".

  • The evening will conclude with readings and performances by local feminists/writers Sonya Vatomsky and Jocelyn MacDonald, and musician Briana Marela (organized by Men's Rights Club)
