ByDesign 12: Visions Of Future Spaces In Film

Jul 22, 2012

With cultural critic Charles Mudede!
Co-presented by ARCADE!

In this special program, critic Charles Mudede discusses visions of future architecture and interior spaces in science fiction films. Cinema's depiction of future environments often involves the intersection of many design and filmmaking disciplines. With images and movie scenes from films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner (celebrating its 30th anniversary this year) and Gattaca, Mudede will explore how films have reflected, reinterpreted and rejected our notions of architecture and design as they look forward in time.
