Holiday High Notes

Dec 12, 2010

(Various directors and countries, 50 min)

Watch as ghosts of holidays past are brought to merry new life through the exquisite vocals of the Northwest Choirs. The Pacific Northwest’s premier boys' choir returns to Northwest Film Forum for our fifth annual holiday concert.  These bright-eyed choristers will wrap wistful footage of silent film Santas, animated elves, and carefree children from bygone days in beatific carols culled from a sophisticated seasonal repertoire.

For 36 years the Northwest Boychoir has taught thousands of young boys the exhilaration of musical performance.  Through commitment, teamwork, and rigorous effort these boys become musicians of the highest professional caliber.  They serve as “Singing Ambassadors” for Washington State, and have performed for presidents, first ladies, senators, and mayors.  In addition to regularly accompanying the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, and other high-profile performing artists, the Northwest Boychoir has received national acclaim for their complementary vocals in Danny Boyle’s Millions and Valkerie, starring Tom Cruise.  For more information, visit www.northwestchoirs.org.

Tickets are $8/Film Forum and NW Choirs members, $10/general admission
